چکیده
Salmonella typhi is a gram-negative, intracellular facultative bacterium that can live and even reproduce in macrophages, resistant to lysosomal enzymes, which has the ability prevent phagosome-lysosome fusion, making it difficult kill. stimulates immune response host (Abbas et alll, 2016; Tores 2000). White turmeric (Curcuma zedoaria) one of herbal plants used as an immunomodulator. Immodulators white substances function increase phagocytosis macrophages destroy typhimurium bacteria. The purpose this study was determine difference between extract immunomodulator on number CD4+ T lymphocytes BALB/c mice infected with typhimurium. This research true experimental posttest only control group design. Mice were divided into 5 groups consisting negative group, positive test group. Analysis lymphocyte data showed significant p=0.013, indicated administration had effect

Effect of Lactobacillus Casei on Hematological and Histopathological Factors in Rats Infected with Salmonella typhimurium
Introduction: Salmonella typhimurium is one of the most important causes of gastrointestinal diseases in humans and animals. Probiotics inhibit pathogens, such as Salmonella Typhimurium by producing antimicrobial compounds. Therefore, this study assessed the protective effect of Lactobacillus casei on hematological factors in rats infected with Salmonella typhimurium with the possibility of sal...
متن کاملCharacterization of CD4+ T cell responses during natural infection with Salmonella typhimurium.
CD4+ T cells are important for resistance to infection with Salmonella typhimurium. However, the Ag specificity of this T cell response is unknown. Here, we demonstrate that a significant fraction of Salmonella-specific CD4+ T cells respond to the flagellar filament protein, FliC, and that this Ag has the capacity to protect naive mice from lethal Salmonella infection. To characterize this Ag-s...
متن کاملRecall of immunity in mice vaccinated with Salmonella enteritidis or Salmonella typhimurium.
Mice were immunized with living Salmonella enteritidis or S. typhimurium and then were reinfected 8, 30, 60, and 150 days later with streptomycin-resistant strains of S. enteritidis, S. typhimurium, or a mixture of the two organisms. The level of resistance at the time of challenge and the rate at which resistance was recalled in late convalescence was determined by daily liver and spleen count...
متن کاملGamma irradiation or CD4+-T-cell depletion causes reactivation of latent Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium infection in C3H/HeN mice.
Upon infection with Salmonella, a host develops an immune response to limit bacterial growth and kill and eliminate the pathogen. Salmonella has evolved mechanisms to remain dormant within the body, only to reappear (reactivate) at a later time when the immune system is abated. We have developed an in vivo model for studying reactivation of Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium infection in m...
متن کاملVirulent Salmonella enterica serovar typhimurium evades adaptive immunity by preventing dendritic cells from activating T cells.
Dendritic cells (DCs) constitute the link between innate and adaptive immunity by directly recognizing pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) in bacteria and by presenting bacterial antigens to T cells. Recognition of PAMPs renders DCs as professional antigen-presenting cells able to prime naïve T cells and initiate adaptive immunity against bacteria. Therefore, interfering with DC func...
